Triathlon England adds four new faces to management board

Triathlon England has announced a host of new appointments to its management board following its annual general meeting at the end of 2012.

In total, four new faces have been added to the management board for a two year period: Bill James becomes independent director for business; Gemma Herbertson becomes director for membership services; John Mills joins as director for England talent; and Sally Lockyer has been installed as director for communications and marketing.

Meanwhile, James Barton has been reappointed as independent director for finance and Duncan Hough as director of events, rules and technical.

Jem Lawson, chair of the Triathlon England management board, said of the appointments: “It’s been an exciting time for Triathlon England with many new faces on the board. As a collective, we will all strive to deliver ever-greater value to our members and ensure the continued growth of the sport throughout England.

“Each of the newly appointed and reappointed positions will hold post for two years, and I am looking forward to their valued contribution along with the continued support of the existing members in 2013 and beyond.”
