PGA hires Aime as chief financial officer

The PGA of America has named Rhona Aime, a former Coca-Cola executive, as chief financial officer.

In her new role, Aime will oversee all financial and information technology matters for the golfing organisation from its headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Aime has had 21 years of experience in leading multinational companies as a senior finance executive; most recently from 2001 to 2011, she managed all the financial aspects of Group Danone, a food-products corporation based in Paris. Prior to her time there, Aime spent nearly 12 years at the Coca Cola Company in a variety of roles including principal auditor, finance director of Coca Cola Netherlands, director of planning and corporate finance for the Brazilian division of the company and director of value management resources.

"The PGA of America is thrilled to add someone of Rhona Aime's experience and business sensibilities to our executive team as chief financial officer," said Pete Bevacqua, the PGA’s chief executive officer.

"Considering her impressive track record across multiple financial disciplines and her familiarity with doing business with various entities around the world, we feel she will provide significant contributions to our objective of supporting our dedicated PGA Professionals nationwide as they teach and grow the game of golf."

"I'm delighted to join The PGA of America and lead the finance function in such an established and renowned association," said Aime. "It's a privilege to be part of any organisation that promotes sport, but especially a sport that is as popular, far-reaching and steeped in history as golf. I'm very eager to be part of the team who are driving the exciting initiatives to promote this wonderful game."
