Mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship has appointed three new leaders to its senior management team.
Hua Fung Teh will join the Singapore-based property as its chief financial officer, while Mahesh Subramanian has been named chief technology officer, and Souvik Dutta will take up the role of vice president of engineering.
The trio will help lead the organisation from 2018, with the aim of continuing to develop the promotion across Asia.
Teh, who will begin his new role in January 2018, is currently a principal at global equity firm TPG Capital. Prior to that, he held various leadership positions in the Republic of Singapore Air Force and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, and was part of the team that brought Formula One to the city-state.
In his new position, Teh will be responsible for all areas of finance, accounting, HR and corporate development, including oversight of key strategic projects and partnerships.
Subramanian has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry with Intel, Siemens, Marvell and Lucent Technologies, as well as over ten years of mobile video streaming experience. His responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of ONE Championship’s technology and infrastructure.
Dutta brings over a decade of experience to the role of vice president of engineering, having worked with tech startups including India-headquartered Touchfone Technology and Indian media company Scoopwhoop, and will oversee the execution of ONE Championship’s mobile and digital technology solutions.
The new additions come after ONE Championship released details of its new 2018 calendar earlier this year, and announced in November that it would be producing a weekly reality TV series in 2018, which sees former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Rich Franklin travel around Asia in search of new martial arts superstars.
Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and chief executive of ONE Championship, said: “I am pleased to announce the addition of three new leaders for ONE Championship. These senior executives will add significant leadership strength to ONE Championship, and will allow us to continue to scale across Asia.”
