Octagon appoints first client services director

International sports marketing agency Octagon has appointed Liza Durge to lead its client services in the UK.

Durge, who most recently led several global accounts at DigitalsLBi following the merger with Lost Boys where she was managing director, will immediately be added to Octagon’s senior management team. She also has nine years of experience with advertising company Dare, where she helped clients drive their digital and social agenda.

“We are thrilled to have a marketer with Liza’s pedigree join us,” said Jeff Ehrenkranz, president of Octagon Marketing International. “We’ve invested heavily in our creative product and this has ignited significant growth in our business. Liza will elevate our work even further and help all of our account teams deliver attention earning work for our clients.”

“Liza is a world class operator with a brilliant understanding of what clients need in today’s world,” said Joel Seymour Hyde, Octagon’s senior vice president. “I’m looking forward to working with her as we continue our momentum.”

Durge added: “I couldn’t be more excited to join an agency like Octagon. To see an agency truly committed to delivering integrated thinking in the sports and culture space is truly unique. You could feel the buzz from day one. I can’t wait to be part of Octagon’s next chapter.”
