Netball Australia has announced a trio of re-elections, and one new appointment, to its board of directors following the body’s annual general meeting in Melbourne last weekend.
Noeleen Dix has retained her position as president, a post she has held since 2006, while Paolina Hunt and Jan Sutherland were both re-elected to the board for three and two year terms respectively.
Meanwhile, former national team captain Kathryn Harby-Williams has joined the board. The South Australian defender, who played 94 Tests for the Australian Diamonds, won two Commonwealth Games and two world championship gold medals in an international career that spanned 13 years.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity,” Harby-Williams said of her election. “Board positions are strategic positions so I want to be able to contribute to the growth of the sport, to maintain its current position and then provide some input into how we can move forward and take the next step.”
With the president post and five elected director roles on the board now filled, Netball Australia confirmed that the process of finding two appointed directors, the final two positions on the board, has commenced.
