Juliet Slot has been added to the board of Great British Racing (GBR), UK horse racing’s official marketing and promotional body.
Slot will assume the position on 1st January 2018 and will combine her time with her current role as commercial director at Ascot Racecourse.
She succeeds Stephen Atkin, chief executive of Racecourse Association (RCA), who has been a board member since 2007 but will continue as an alternate director of the organisation.
“I am very much looking forward to taking on this post on behalf of all independent racecourses,” said Slot. “The work of Great British Racing is of great importance to the industry and I am looking forward to being part of the strategy team.”
Tony Langham, chairman of GBR, said: “We are pleased to welcome Juliet Slot to the board, who brings with her a wealth of experience which will be invaluable to the organisation and in shaping its future direction.”
