Infront Sports & Media, the leading international sports marketing company, has appointed Claude Ruibal as executive director of its digital, production and sport solutions unit.
Ruibal will be responsible for the new unit's activities across the business, producing digital and broadcast content for the whole Infront portfolio, including Infront Digital Solutions and its Omnigon subsidiary. The unit will also offer its services to triathlon events organised by Ironman, Infront's sister company under the Wanda Sports Holdings umbrella.
The new executive director joins from his role as global head of sports content partnerships at GoPro, while he has previous experience as global head of sports content for YouTube, chairman and chief executive of Universal Sports, and as director of global football management at Coca-Cola.
“With today’s technological progress and high convergence, the areas of digital, production and other services cannot be managed separately anymore," said Philippe Blatter, president and chief executive of Infront. "With Claude Ruibal, who already has a persuading and impressive track record in the still-emerging digital sports segment, we have found the right leader to drive our strategic development. Digital, production and sports solutions is set to be one of the growth engines of our group and a key strategic pillar for Infront and Wanda Sports Holding going forward.”
