Experienced media and marketing executive Jeff Volk has been hired to help drive the growth of Deltatre, the Bruin Sports Capital-owned digital media specialist, in the Americas.
Volk has taken up the position of senior vice president and head of business and revenue, Americas at the company, and will report to Deltatre executive vice president Andrea Marini, who is based in the firm's New York office.
Volk joins Deltatre after more than seven years at Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) and its streaming technology spin-off, BAMTech. As head of business development at MLBAM, he helped negotiate several key partnerships, including the company’s live streaming deals with the PGA Tour and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
In 2012, Volk also co-founded the New York Venture Community (NYVC Sports), a forum for investors, entrepreneurs and executives in digital sport.
Deltatre’s client portfolio includes some of the largest federations, media companies and brands in sport, including world soccer governing body Fifa, track and field’s IAAF, the English Premier League, and ATP Media.
Last May, the company appointed Claude London, a former Google executive, as its new president for the Americas, a region its new parent company Bruin has identified for expansion.
