The Milwaukee Brewers baseball team have reportedly installed Daniel Fumai as their new chief financial officer.
The appointment marks a return to Major League Baseball (MLB) for Fumai, who previously worked for the San Diego Padres between 2003 and 2008 before joining ANC Sports Enterprises, a division of Learfield Communications, as executive vice president of finance and chief operating officer.
According to Rich Kirchen of the Milwaukee Business Journal, Fumai will start his new role on Monday, replacing Bob Quinn, who left the Brewers at the end of 2017 after 15 years with the team.
He will oversee the financial functions of the Brewers business as well as those of the Carolina Mudcats, the team’s minor league affiliate.
“Daniel brings a wealth of experience to our organisation and has been an integral member of several top performing companies,” said Brewers chief operating officer Rick Schlesinger, per Kirchen.
