Chris Lencheski to lead global sponsorship sales at MP & Silva

International sports marketing agency MP & Silva has appointed experienced motorsports executive Chris Lencheski as its interim global commercial partnerships director.

Lencheski joins the agency from IRG Sports + Entertainment, a motorsports-focused marketing firm where he served as vice chairman and chief executive.

Based out of MP & Silva’s New York office, Lencheski will manage the company’s global sponsorship team across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

“MP & Silva is rapidly expanding beyond its historic expertise in media rights into a full-service sports marketing agency,” said Jochen Lösch, the company’s chief executive. “Chris will drive growth in this strategically important area of the company.”

Lencheski, who has been a senior advisor to the management and board of MP & Silva since 2015, added: “I am pleased to join MP & Silva at this exciting time in the company’s growth and transformation.

“Having been involved with some of the company’s high-level deals as an advisor, I look forward to continuing my close relationship with the entire team, and the opportunity to help build upon and drive the future growth of MP & Silva’s commercial rights and sponsorship business silo in the US and globally.”

MP & Silva’s current sponsorship portfolio includes several US clients, including Monumental Sports and Entertainment, the New York Red Bulls Arena, and the Miami Heat basketball team.

Frank Uddo, MP & Silva’s president of North America, said in a statement that Lencheski’s hiring is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the US market.
