The Areté sports agency has appointed Steven Halliwell as its new content production lead.
Most recently head of creative at The Goat Agency, Halliwell will oversee the development of content production and digital strategy for all brand, team and athlete clients of the Areté business.
Halliwell also spent four years as head of content at the Wasserman marketing agency, where he managed all content collateral for English soccer players Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson, British boxers George Groves and Conor Benn, and rugby union star Billy Vunipola.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Steven’s unique experience and expertise join Areté,” said Simon Bayliff, Areté’s chief executive. “Digital content is an area of strategic growth for the business as a fully integrated, 'value-capturing' service for our athletes, partners and rights holders.
“Steven is an exceptionally talented and creative addition and his work will provide us with the ideal launchpad to grow our digital strategy.”
Halliwell added: “I’m very excited to join Areté to spearhead the company’s content production for an exceptional and internationally diverse client base. There is a real desire to invest, innovate and expand the core competencies in this content-hungry digital age and I’m delighted to be a part of that growth.”
