One thing to know about Adam Peaty is that he wins almost as often as he competes. Already, at the age of 23, his list of professional achievements is so long it’s worthy of its own scrollbar.
A breaststroke specialist who has broken and re-broken records at Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth competitions, Peaty is the guy to beat in the pool. At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, he became the first British man to win an Olympic swimming gold medal for 28 years. Now a household name in his native country, he is set to be one of the faces of a favoured Great Britain squad heading into Tokyo 2020.
Not bad for the self-described “ginger kid from Uttoxeter”. Indeed, Peaty remains as humble as they come in spite of his competitive success and the individual accolades that have come his way. With the letters ‘MBE’ now trailing his name, he has grown to look and talk every bit like the elite Olympian he is, yet still his wholesome Staffordshire roots shine through. Any brand looking to align with a standout star of Team GB need look no further. ML
