Visit Malta
Vitist Malta is the public-facing arm of the Malta Tourism Authority. The Maltese Islands hold a colourful annual calendar of traditional seasonal events such as carnival and summer festas with nightlife to rival that of many European cities. Every year, an eclectic blend of local and international events, entertainment and exhibitions take place. Choose from classical and jazz to band and folk music, from theatre and opera to dance and Baroque festivals. The Islands also play host to a variety of international events, sports championships and tournaments that provide something for everyone, from athletics to motosport.
Sports Tourism
If running is your thing, why not try out the Malta Marathon & Half Marathon, which usually take place in February or March? If you enjoy the thrill of the race but would rather be a spectator, horse racing takes place almost every weekend. Tennis is also a popular sport here, so you can easily find good courts with the Marasa Sports Club boasting 19 courts, seven of which are floodlit. Marsa also hosts the prestigious Royal Malta Golf Club, set up in 1888.
If you prefer looking up at the skies, the Malta International Airshow usually takes place in September. This is a fantastic, interesting day out for all the family.
If you are looking to organise an International Sporting Event with a difference, think Malta!
