The European Synthetic Turf Organisation (ESTO) is a non-profit organisation formed to ensure quality turf and to provide information that can help clients and end-users find the most appropriate solutions in synthetic turf systems. ESTO exists to offer neutral and unbiased information for the promotion of synthetic turf, enhancing its numerous advantages and uniquely positioned for research/universities, end users (clubs, leagues, sports governing bodies) and trade.

ESTO is an organisation that brings everyone together to discuss, debate, research and develop the future of synthetic turf.

ESTO is actively contributing to standardisation in order to improve test methodology and continuously strive for transparent and consistent harmonisation of the requirements for the large variety of sports performances.

  • ESTO case study - New Saints

    CASE STUDY ESTO spoke to Ian Williams, the Chief Operating Officer of New Saints just outside of Oswestry in Shropshire about their recent decision to put in an artifical playing surface.

  • ESTO Case Study: SC Zollikon

    SC Zollikon is a community club based south of Zurich, Switzerland, which currently plays its football in the 4th Swiss division. Prior to the installation of the synthetic turf, the home ground of the club, "Sportanlage Riet" used to consist of two full size grass pitches, as well as an over 20 year old synthetic mini-turf surface.

    The Jahn Stadion in the northern part of the Black Forest in Germany has for many decades been the home ground of two regional clubs, FC Neustadt and Hölzlebruck SV.
