Williams extends alliance with Allianz
Williams has announced the extension of its sponsorship deal with insurance firm Allianz. The long-term relationship between the two will now move into a second decade. Team principal Sir Frank Williams thanked Allianz for its valuable support over the years: “Their ongoing association with the team is the greatest validation of our efforts and there is little which can be more satisfying than enduring relationships of this nature.”
Allianz’s long-time head of marketing communication, Steven Althaus added: “Allianz has built extremely effective international awareness campaigns about road safety and risk management around the themes Formula One provides.”
He continued, “These campaigns have directly and positively impacted our core business activities and this is why our programme with AT&T Williams endures. We are delighted to be extending our agreement with the team.” The deal is believed to be on the same terms as before, worth US$2 million per season.

Overall value: US$6 million
