The Wests Tigers have secured an agreement that sees Proton Cars and MKB Contracting become joint major sponsors for 2010 in a seven-figure boost for the National Rugby League side.
Proton Cars will feature on the front of the black Wests Tigers jersey with MKB on the sleeve. MKB will feature on the front of the orange jersey with Proton Cars occupying the sleeve. Meanwhile, UD Trucks will continue to feature on the back of the jersey and completes the trio of jersey sponsors.
"To have two of our existing sponsors in Proton Cars and MKB Contracting becoming joint major sponsors shows the strength of what our brand can now deliver," said Wests Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys. "It is a great endorsement of the Wests Tigers brand and our plans for the future. This is the third time Proton has now renewed their sponsorship and their fifth consecutive season as a major sponsor. Their renewal decision speaks volumes for the return Proton has seen from their investment in our club."
Proton Cars Australia managing director John Startari added: "Sponsoring the Wests Tigers over the past four NRL seasons has provided a valuable platform for Proton to increase brand awareness across Australia and our continued support for the club will be a vital part of our marketing as we launch our expanded model range."
