Alda, a Canadian pharmaceutical company, has confirmed a sponsorship deal with the local organisers of next February's winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Alda will be the 'official supplier of hand sanitiser and disinfectant cleaning products' for the Games. Alda was founded in 1996 and was publicly listed in 2003.
"Our company is excited to play a role in helping ensure that the 2010 Winter Games are among the healthiest ever held for athletes, spectators, volunteers and workers," said Terrance G. Owen, Alda's president.
"The Games are a perfect event to put our new consumer products, such as our antiseptic hand sanitiser, literally in the hands of tens of thousands of people from around the world and help ensure the only things they take away from the Games are fun and memorable experiences."
The Games are scheduled to take place between February 12th and 28th next year.
