Valencia secures Herbalife as shorts sponsor
Valencia, the Spanish soccer club that has been battling financial woes for months, has secured a boost with the addition of a new kit sponsor.
Global nutrition and direct-selling company Herbalife's logo will appear on the club's matchday shorts and training kits, as well as on the team bus and around the club's Estadio Mestalla stadium and The Sport Centre, its training facility. Herbalife will be the club's official provider of nutritional products.
Herbalife also sponsors LA Galaxy, Italian champions Internazionale and FC Strasbourg.
"This deal represents a natural fit for us in terms of reflecting and showcasing Herbalife’s emphasis on both good nutrition and an active lifestyle," said Edi Hienrich, managing director of Herbalife's Europe, Middle East and Africa region. "Nutrition is now recognized as a vitally important component of any training regime at the highest level of sport and we are looking forward to working with the team to help them achieve success."
Valencia CF president Manuel Llorente added: "We are proud to partner with Herbalife, a prestigious worldwide brand that is showing its support for Valencia´s future - a future that is growing stronger everyday. The Valencia supporters should be very grateful to Herbalife."
