Tennis for Charity and the US Tennis Association (USTA) are today expected to announce a spend of some US$10 million on upgrades to the Linder Family Tennis Center in Cincinatti.
Both organisations will spend US$5 million on refurbishing the centre in Cincinatti, which hosts both ATP and WTA events. Tennis for Charity is an organisation which, along with the USTA itself, owns the ATP Western and Southern Financial Open in Cincinatti.
According to Sports Business Journal, "the US$10 million will largely be used to upgrade the players' areas, including the locker rooms and lounges. However, another 750 seats will be added along with six more luxury suites."
The facility is hosting this week's Sony Ericsson WTA Tour event but the men's and women's events are expected to be staged simultaneously in the future.
