UPS signs two star golfers up to endorsement deals

Golfers Lee Westwood and Pablo Larrazábal have signed personal endorsement deals with UPS, the logistics company which will also sponsor The Open Championship.
On the same day that UPS announced its deal with The Open Championship, the company confirmed that Westwood and Rookie of the Year Larrazábal will be UPS brand ambassadors. The two will represent the company during play, at customer hospitality functions and other brand promotion activities.
"Lee Westwood and Pablo Larrazábal will bring an important and valuable dimension to UPS's sponsorship of The Tour," said Ron Rogowski, UPS head of global sponsorships. "We look forward to their involvement as we leverage their talents to further enhance our international golf programme."
Westwood, born in Worksop in the north of England, holds 18 European Tour titles and has won tournaments in the USA, Africa, Asia and Australia. He is currently ranked 15th in the world. Spaniard Larrazábal won the French Open in his debut year on the European Tour and has been tipped for great success.
