TW Steel increases motorsport sponsorship
Dutch watch brand TW Steel has increased its motorsport portfolio by becoming an official supplier of the RACMSA Rally of Scotland in November. The event is the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge and will be based in Perthshire.
The company was previously an official partner of the A1GP series, with major trackside and on-screen timing presences during every race.
Of the rally deal, TW Steel's chief commercial officer Stewart Bain said: "We look forward to activating a customer outreach programme on-site, primarily in the service park in Stirling and hosting some of our Scottish retail partners."
Andrew Coe, chief executive of event organiser International Motor Sports Ltd., added: "I hope it is the start of a long relationship with the prestigious brand."
Persistent rumours suggest that TW Steel is poised to enter Formula One next season, with two or three teams believed to be in negotiations regarding a sponsorship deal.
