Torres stays young by landing invigorating deal with BPLength of contract: 1 year | Annualised value: US$150,000 | Overall: US$150,000

Five-time Olympian Dara Torres, who won three silver medals at the Beijing Olympics at the age of 41, has signed an endorsement deal with BP to market the petroleum company's new 'BP gasoline with Invigorate' product.

The deal will run for one year, and is worth US$150,000 to the swimmer. Invigorate cleans and protects car engines while they are running, helping cars 'to run younger for longer' - hence the association with the veteran Olympian.

"We’re thrilled to have Dara Torres join the team as the national face of BP gasoline with Invigorate," stated Linda Bartman, BP's marketing communications manager. "As a world-renowned athlete, Dara's inspiring 'younger for longer' story will help consumers make a relatable connection to the brand, bringing the lifestyle campaign and benefits of the product to life for a whole new audience."

Torres described herself as "very excited" about the deal. "I'm proud to support a brand that stands for quality products and promotes their product in a unique way by inspiring their consumers to live a 'younger for longer' lifestyle. This is the attitude I’ve used throughout my life and swimming career," she said.
