Thomas Cook offer Premier League club’s fans holiday Villa
Thomas Cook has reached an agreement with another Premier League club. The two-and-a-half-year deal with Aston Villa FC will see the travel company offer discount holiday deals to the club's fans.
Villa, owned by American billionaire Randy Lerner, who also owns the NFL's Cleveland Browns, took the almost unprecedented step of donating their shirt sponsorship to charity this season, eschewing a potentially lucrative deal in favour of giving the space to Acorns, a local children's hospice.
"We are delighted to be entering this partnership with a leading international brand such as Thomas Cook," said Paul Faulkner, the club's chief operating officer.
"Not only will this relationship benefit our fans by providing them with discounts on holidays, it is also part of our plan to develop and strengthen key commercial partnerships off the field in line with some excellent performances from the team on the pitch."
Danny Talbot, managing director of Thomas Cook Sport said: "Over the last five years we have worked incredibly hard to build strong relationships with the UK’s top football clubs and we are obviously delighted to add Aston Villa to that growing portfolio."
In addition to their agreements with Aston Villa and Chelsea, Thomas Cook have a variety of deals in place with Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Everton and Fulham, as well as Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers.
