Thanh Nien backs Vietnamese soccer tournaments

The Thanh Nien newspaper in Vietnam will sponsor and organise a series of national and international soccer tournaments in the region.
Teams from China, Iran, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will travel to Vietnam to compete in the first of the competitions in October. A number of under-21 teams will compete in national tournaments in the build-up to the international competition.
Thanh Nien will work with the Asian Football Confederation to 'bring prestigious international teams and referees' to the international tournament.
