Soccerex inks legal partnership
The organisers of international soccer conference Soccerex have unveiled JMW Solicitors LLP as the event's "global legal supplier" for the next five years. The firm, which is based in the northern English city of Manchester, will have a presence at this year's event in Johannesburg, South Africa as well as a Manchester conference early in 2010.
Ben Haworth, JMW's head of sport, said he was "thrilled" with the deal and added: "Their worldwide reach and strong brand name will play a vital role in the growth of our sports law department.
"I have been attending their conferences for many years and have always found them to be invaluable in terms of doing business in the world wide football arena. With the European forum coming to Manchester in March 2010 for the next four years we felt the timing was perfect to work alongside this leading football business brand."
Duncan Revie, the chief executive officer of Soccerex, called it an "exciting deal" and added: "I am looking foward to working with them over the next five years."
This year's Soccerex takes place between November 28th and December 2nd, coinciding with the draw for the 2010 soccer World Cup in South Africa.
