Sky Bet to sponsor developmental golf tour

Sky Bet will be an official partner of the PGA EuroPro Tour, the developmental professional golf tour.
"This link up for the 2009 season is a first for bookmakers and a development golf tour and we are both pleased and proud to be supporting the development of young golfers in their goal of reaching firstly the Challenge Tour, then ultimately the European Tour itself," said John Rhodes, Sky Bet's chief golf compiler. "2009 is an exciting year for the EuroPro Tour."
The tour, which has a total prize fund of around US$1 million, is shown on Sky Sports - also a sponsor - in Great Britain and on the Golf Channel in the USA.
