Harbhajan Singh, India's star off-spin bowler, has signed a one year endorsement deal with Indian broadcast giant Neo Sports.

Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt Ltd, part of the Nimbus media empire in India, will use Harbhajan as their brand ambassador to promote their non-stop cricket channel, Neo Cricket.

Commenting on the new endorsement deal, Harbhajan Singh said: “It is a privilege to be associated with Neo Cricket as their brand ambassador. We share a common passion which is cricket. The channel is bringing cricket to the homes of every Indian cricket fan. I am glad to be the medium of reaching out to the cricket crazy fans of India to promote the cricketing season on Neo Cricket.”

As a brand ambassador, Harbhajan Singh will lead the channel's publicity activities, including events, on-ground activities and special presence in many of the channel's programmes.

29-year-old Harbhajan Singh is now a veteran of the Indian international cricket team, having made his debut against Australia in 1998. He is now the second most prolific off-spinner in Test cricket history, behind only Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan on number of wickets taken.
