Sheffield United sign another new sponsor
English soccer club Sheffield United has unveiled a new platinum sponsor, with a five-star Maltese hotel becoming a platinum partner of the club.
Fortina Spa Resort's branding will adorn the Bramall Lane Evolution Family Corner Stand, in a deal that follows on from the club's seven-figure shirt sponsorship deal with the Malta Tourism Authority.
"The latest partnership with the Fortina Spa Resort is the perfect extension to Sheffield United's growing affiliation with Malta," said Sheffield United executive director, Mike Farnan. "We continue to look at innovative ways to develop tourism, business and football opportunities for the island. It's a hugely important step for the club to be able to work directly with such a popular hotel and resort from Malta."
Cliff Agius, sales and marketing manager for the Fortel Group of Hotels, added: "Sheffield United has already helped generate considerable interest for Malta as a popular tourist destination. We hope that our partnership will add to this awareness and create even more opportunities for the island. Sheffield United presents us with a new and exciting marketing platform and we are confident the rewards will be beneficial for all parties."
