Serbia’s Football Association has signed a two-year deal with Delta Sport Group, the exclusive distributor of Nike products in the country.
The deal was signed by Delta Sport’s general director Goran Karic and Tomislav Karadzic in Belgrade and follows Serbia's qualification for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa next June.
As well as shirt manufacturing rights, the agreement also includes provision for Serbia to hold an international friendly match with other Nike-backed international teams, thought most likely to be fellow World Cup qualifiers Brazil.
The value of the deal was announced by Delta as worth €1.085 million annually, made up of cash and product.
Karic said: “Signing a new two year term is the continuance of a partnership on a high degree. This agreement should make an easy path for our national team to South Africa and afterwards help in many winning years in front of us.”
