Sat.1 signs Arena Box deal
24 January 2010 | By Simone Walker
German boxing fans will have access to major Arena Box Promotion matches thanks to a deal signed with the Sat.1. network.
Sat.1's parent company, ProSiebenSat1 Media Group, is one of the largest private networks in Germany and had previously screened professional boxing from 1997 until 2001.
Sat.1 will feature the re-match between German heavyweight Steffen Kretschmann and Russian Denis Bakhtov. In the first match between the two men, Bakhtov pulled off an upset by knocking out Kretschmann in the first round.
The details on date and place of the first joint venture between Arena and Sat.1 are still to be announced
