German soccer side Kaiserslautern has agreed a new two-year deal with a new kit supplier.
German brand Do You Football will supply the club's shirts for the next two years in a deal negotiated by international agency Sportfive. The club, nicknamed 'Die roten Teufel', the Red Devils - a nickname it shares with European champions Manchester United - plays in the 48,500 capacity Fritz Walter Stadion, has won the German title on four occasions, and reached the Uefa Cup semi-final as recently as 2001, but is currently playing in the second tier of the Bundesliga.
"The Red Devils stand for tradition and a unique fan culture – values we can identify with," said Do You Football chief executive Bernd von Geldern. "Do You Football kits out both players and fans – not just with shirts, but with an attitude. We love football and live for it. Together with FCK, we will create an extensive football collection that is a good match for the club and affordable for its fans."
FCK's chairman Stefan Kuntz said: "Do You Football presented a concept that is perfectly tailored to the special needs of FCK and its fans. Also, our new kit supplier allows us to offer shirts in excellent quality that are well below the average price in the league, keeping them affordable for our fans especially in these economically more difficult times."
