Overall value: US$175,000
The McDonald's logo will adorn the Newcastle Knights' kit in 2010 after the fast-food giants signed on to sponsor the National Rugby League side.
McDonald's will be the club's official food partner, with its logo appearing on the team's shorts and the rear of their shirts, and significant stadium signage.
"This is one of the most significant announcements in our club's history," said Knights chief executive Steve Burraston. "To have the backing of McDonald's, a globally recognised brand is a major shot in the arm for the Newcastle Knights."
Meanwhile, two Knights players will become ambassadors for Ronald McDonald House, McDonald's main charitable foundation. "Community is a key focus for the Newcastle Knights and a passion we share with McDonald's," said Burraston. "We're community owned and we rely on the community's support. McDonald's recognised this and are providing us with an outstanding opportunity to further expand our involvement through Ronald McDonald House."
