The New Jersey Nets NBA franchise has secured ten new sponsorship agreements as it begins training camp ahead of the new season, and renewed agreements with 20 corporate partners.

Mars are perhaps the most high-profile of the team's new backers, with Cure Auto Insurance, Electronics Expo, the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Hotelplanner.com, LTJ Arthur, Lucky Strike Lanes, MetroPCS, Pirate's Booty and Zappos.com. The new partnerships are worth some US$1.5 million to the team, with the renewed deals, including McDonald's, LG and Wrigley's, adding another US$3 million to the club's coffers.

"We are delighted that such best-in-class brands recognise the powerful opportunities that exist as a Nets corporate partner," said New Jersey Nets chief executive Brett Yormark. "While these difficult economic times have affected everyone, the business community continues to see the value we provide for our family of corporate partners."

Mars will launch an M&M's candy and merchandise store on the concourse of the team's arena, while the other companies will all have major advertising and signage presence alongside their various initiatives.
