New deal is the Rite move for New Jersey Nets

13 January 2010 | By Adam Fraser

Rite Aid Pharmacy has signed a major strategic alliance that will provide a boost to the marketing of New Jersey Nets tickets.

Rite Aid, the largest drugstore chain on the East Coast, will market Nets tickets in 65 stores in the New York metropolitan area, with the franchise also marketed through circulars and in-store signage.

"We are thrilled to team with such a respected and significant company as Rite Aid, which affords us the opportunity to extend our message to people not yet exposed to Nets Basketball and introduce them to our product," said Nets chief executive Brett Yormark. "It's clear that the marketplace continues to recognize the value that Nets Basketball provides for our partners."

This week has also seen the Nets confirm the addition of another multi-million dollar backer of the franchise's upcoming move to Brooklyn, with Haier America joining the likes of Anheuser-Busch, Cushman & Wakefield, Emblem Health and Phillips-Van Heusen.
