NBC agrees partnership with US figure skating

NBC Sports will screen US figure skating until the 2014 Winter Olympic Games after signing a revenue-sharing agreement with the sport's governing body.
NBC will screen the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the Skate America competition, while footage will also be screened on the Universal Sports network also owned by the broadcaster.
Meanwhile, Kansas City and San Jose are the two cities battling it out to host the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. "We have looked at two cities as finalists, and now we come back and meet internally within our group and make the recommendation to our board of directors in early October," said Bob Dunlop, senior director of events for U.S. Figure Skating.
