Munster, the Irish rugby union team, has extended its kit deal with Adidas for another four seasons in an agreement reported to be worth around €3m (US$4.35 million).
The partnership, first created in 1997, has been successful not only from a merchandising perspective, but it also enabled a friendly with New Zealand at Munster's home stadium, Thomond Park, in 2008 as Adidas is kit supplier to both teams.
"Munster Rugby is delighted to continue its partnership with Adidas," said Munster chief executive Garrett Fitzgerald. "Their global brand appeal, heritage in rugby apparel and kit technology is second to none.
"We have had an excellent working relationship for the past three years and we look forward to another four years together, as the association will ensure the squad continues to be fully equipped for the demands of modern rugby."
