McDonald’s deepens partnership with Aussie Rules

Fast food giant McDonald's will sponsor the SANFL, the South Australia state league for Australian Rules Football, for the next three years.
Under the terms of the deal, McDonalds will have naming rights to the league's junior competitions, including The Macca's Cup, for Under-18 teams, and the Macca's Under-16 Talent Shield. The sponsorship will be advertised throughout more than one hundred McDonald's stores in the state.
McDonald's will also sponsor a weekly Junior Player of the Week prize, which will be announced during television coverage of the league, and an annual prize for the most valuable player in the Macca's Cup.
The SANFL was the original Australian Rules Football league, forming in 1877. It has a total television and radio audience of over 1.5 million and has the highest attendance of any regional league in Australia with an average of over 3,000 spectators a match.
