The Western Australian Lotteries Commission, Lotterywest, will remain the title sponsor of Western Australia's Soccer Pools Cup for 2009. The knock-out competition runs from run from April to October, with teams competing to be crowned Soccer Pools Cup champion in the State League division - one league lower than the A-League, Australia's top-flight soccer league - as well as at lower levels.
"It's great to have Lotterywest's support through their Soccer Pools product for another year of cup football" said Gary Chandler, chief executive of Football West, Western Australia's soccer governing body. "Lotterywest are very active in the community and there is a clear synergy between the sport and the Soccer Pools game that will benefit our stakeholders."
