The Penrith Panthers Australian rugby league team has renewed a major partnership.
Tony Ferguson Weightloss will continue to brand the lower back of the club's jerseys for another three years, continuing an association that began more than two decades ago.
The deal is the second in a few days for the Panthers, who extended their partnership with Sanyo last week. Sanyo estimates that it generated more than US$2 million worth of media coverage from its sponsorship in 2008.
"We are proud to partner with a person and business that makes such a positive contribution to peoples lives and I would like to thank Tony for his on-going friendship, loyalty and support," said Panthers marketing manager Shannon Donato. "Tony has always been a great sponsor and as a life member and committed supporter he has played a big part in the history of this club and building it in to what it is today. His weightloss program has benefited the health of thousands of Australians."
The club is planning to announce more sponsorship deals in the coming weeks.
