23 September 2009 | By Adam Fraser

Liverpool, the English Premier League soccer club, has appointed the Iris agency to launch an integrated campaign to drive global membership of its 'All Red' scheme.

The campaign, set to coincide with the 50th anniversary season of Bill Shankly joining Liverpool, will feature imagery and quotes from the club's former manager.

The campaign will start in the UK before expanding globally, and will include significant online advertising and joint initiatives with the club's sponsors.

Meanwhile, Standard Chartered, the bank that has signed a world record sponsorship deal with English soccer club Liverpool, has moved to explain the reasoning behind its move into soccer.
