Anne Keothavong, Britain's number one women's tennis player, has been signed by global sports representation company Wasserman in a deal that could be worth up to US$100,000 in potential commissions for the agency.

25 year old Londoner Keothavong was the first British woman in 16 years to break into the top 50 of the WTA world singles rankings, although she is currently ranked 52nd in the world.

The promising Briton has won 17 International Tennis Federation titles in her career and recently reached the semi-finals of WTA Tour events in Auckland and Memphis.
London-born Keothavong became the first British woman in 16 years to break into the top 50 of the WTA world singles rankings earlier this year and has established herself as one of the most improved players on the women’s tour over the last twelve months.

Wasserman, based principally in Los Angeles and London, already has a stable of female sports stars under its management wing, notably a host of American soccer and basketball players.
The signing of Keothavong is the latest tennis addition to the Wasserman fold, Ex-pro and Canadian-British legend Greg Rusedski having recently jumped on board in order to develop his fledgling broadcast and mentoring careers.
