Jim Beam, the best-selling bourbon in the world, has agreed a two-year endorsement deal with V8 Supercar driver Will Davison. Davison drove for Jim Beam Racing last year, and achieved a top five finish in the championship, before being offered an improved contract with the Holden Racing Team (HRT) for the 2009 season. HRT is the most successful V8 Supercar team, and the move marks a major step forwards in Davison's career.

However, Jim Beam are keen not to lose touch with the talented 26-year-old driver, the latest member of one of Australia's most famous motorsports dynasties. Davison's grandfather, Lex Davison, won the Australian Grand Prix four times, while his brother Alex and cousin James are also professional drivers. Davison himself has raced in Formula 3 and for the Australian A1GP team.

"I'm comfortable in the car I really enjoy driving the car and we can get on with the job now," said Davison of his new drive with HRT. "I'm still going to be learning in the first part of the year but I think we should hit the ground running pretty well. We're only going to get stronger the further we get into the championship. I'm probably at the peak of my career so now's the time it's got to happen and I've got myself into the position I've dreamed of getting into. Now I've just got to make it happen."
