Adidas Japan heads a list of six sponsors that have signed to support Japan's bid to host the Fifa World Cup in either 2018 or 2022.
Adidas supplies the Japanese national team that will compete in the World Cup in South Africa in June. Japanese authorities have confirmed that they will continue to campaign for 2018 as well as 2022, despite increasing indications from Fifa that only bids from Europe - England and Russia as well as joint bids from Holland/Belgium and Spain/Portugal - will be considered as 2018 hosts.
Asahi Shimbun Company, Sankei Shimbun Co, Sky Perfect JSAT Holdings, JTB Global Marketing & Travel and Nishitetsu Travel Co have joined Adidas to support the bid.
