Premier League soccer club Arsenal has extended its contract with analysis company Prozone for another season, taking the agreement, which began as an innovative new partnership at the turn of the millennium, into its tenth consecutive year.
The club is believed to pay around US$250,000 per year for the service, which will see its coaches, led by manager Arsene Wenger, utilise both post-match and opposition analysis. For the first time, the Arsenal reserve team will also utilise the post-match analysis.
"The renewal of Arsenal's association with Prozone represents the manager's continued trust and faith in the performance data provided to his staff and players," said Sam Tobin, Arsenal's performance analyst. "With the inclusion of Prozone for Arsenal's reserve team games, this high level data will begin to be integrated throughout all levels of the club in its pursuit of excellence."
Paul Boanas, Prozone's head of analysis services, added: "We are really pleased to extend our agreement with Arsenal into their tenth season and it is fantastic to have had a continuous relationship for so long. It is testament to both the foresight of the manager and the standard of the service we provide."
