Infront Sports & Media lands IIHF contract
03 December 2009 | By Adam Fraser
The Infront Sports & Media agency has been tasked with revamping the Champions Hockey League (CHL), with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) keen to have a new format in place by the start of the Vancouver Olympics next year.
The move comes after Ovation Sports, previously performing the role, had its contract discontinued by the IIHF after Ukrainian steel tycoon Sergey Taruta withdrew his proposed investment from the CHL.
Infront has a long history with the IIHF, including as the current marketing partner for ice hockey's world championship.
