IMG moves into Buckeye state with multi-million dollar deal

The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics and IMG College, a division of international agency IMG Worldwide, have reached agreement on a 12-year multi-media rights partnership worth more than $30 million in guaranteed payments to the University.
In addition, The UC Department of Athletics will also derive additional financial benefits as IMG College will be responsible for a portion of the unit's operating expenses in support of marketing and corporate sponsorships.
"Partnering with IMG College at this point in our athletics evolution is a bold and exciting move," said Mike Thomas, UC's Director of Athletics.
"UC and IMG are poised to move aggressively in maximizing the Bearcats' brand, and we are confident that this partnership will foster new opportunities for the continued growth of our University, for our friends in the corporate sector, and of course, for a positive impact on all of our student-athletes and fans of UC Athletics."
Under the terms of the agreement, IMG College will manage and market all rights associated with corporate sponsorships, signage, on-site marketing opportunities, publishing rights, future website sales and management, coaches' endorsements, and game day hospitality.
Additionally, the agreement covers all game day radio broadcasts for football and basketball, football and basketball coaches' radio shows and television rights, along with other mutually agreed upon radio broadcast and television rights for various other sports.
