IMG has pulled off another major deal with the extension of its multi-million dollar contract with the University of Arizona for another five years.
The agreement, between the University of Arizona (UA) and IMG College, a division of IMG Worldwide, already ran until 2019. It will now last until 2024 - an extension that takes the overall value of the partnership to US$124 million. The university's confidence in the long-term deal is understandable; IMG College has helped its corporate partner programme to grow by more than 30 per cent over the past two years.
"The current agreement has yielded impressive results, and I know the many Wildcat corporate partners and broadcast affiliates will continue to benefit from IMG's experienced team and global resources," said said Jim Livengood, UA's Director of Athletics.
The agreement between the two parties covers game broadcasts and coaches' shows for radio and television, signage, publications, game day promotions, corporate hospitality, print literature, and website management and sales.
"We appreciate this renewal and look forward to continuing our long-term partnership with The University of Arizona," said Tom Stultz, senior vice president for IMG College. "It has been an honor to work with the University and we are excited about the initiatives we can develop to expand its successful brand."
