IEC scoops big badminton deal

IEC in Sports, the Swedish agency, has secured the exclusive rights to distribute worldwide television coverage of three major badminton properties.
The Indonesian Open, Asian Badminton Championships and the Malaysian Grand Prix will all be distributed by IEC in Sports in a deal that could be worth up to US$1.8 million in agency fees.
The Indonesian Open will run from June 15-21 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Asian Badminton Championships ended on Sunday April 12th in Suwon, Korea. IEC in Sports distributed three days of live broadcast across the region, working closely with the host broadcaster, SBS and the Korean Badminton Association. The Malaysian Grand Prix Gold will take place in Johor Baru, Malaysia from June 22-28th.
