Italian manufacturer GoldenTyre will become the sole tyre supplier of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship from next year after agreeing a deal with the commercial rights holder, Youthstream.
Since 2006, all competing teams in the FIM SuperMoto World Championship have used the same tyres.
"We are extremely happy to extend our partnership with Youthstream, which started in the Motocross business, to SuperMoto," said Marco Cavallini, the GoldenTyre president. "We are thankful for this opportunity we are given and we will do our best to fulfil our position of unique tyre supplier of the FIM SuperMoto World Championship.
"The tyre compound we have chosen is meant to increase the sliding, together with the show of the races, and reduce the costs because the tyres will cost less and last longer."
