IMG has signed French veteran golfer Gregory Havret, who joins a string of other French golfers on the international agency's books.

Raphaël Jacquelin, Thomas Levet, Jeff Lucquin and François Delamontagne are all represented by IMG. Havret, who turned professional in 1999 and has three European Tour wins to his name, beat Phil Mickelson in a play-off for the 2007 Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, a victory that helped him break into the top 20 of the Order of Merit.

"Gregory is undoubtedly one of the most successful golfers to emerge from France, as well as being a great player he also has a great personality and charisma," said Guy Kinnings, managing director of Golf at IMG. "We are delighted that he has selected IMG to represent him around the world and look forward to being part of his team."

Havret said: "I am really enjoying my golf and am in great form and high spirits. I have decided to join IMG because they represent some of the world's best players and their unrivalled experience in client management will allow me to concentrate on playing golf and enable me to rise up the rankings. I am very excited about my future and can't wait for my next tournament."
